“Make it Subtle yet Elegant” – these were the words added to the brief provided by our very lovely Maharashtrian Clients. Our Maharashtrian couple, their teenage daughter and their mother are very rooted in their culture and are proud owners of this beautiful 4BHK apartment in Powai. Every corner of this spacious and beautiful house is designed elegantly, and careful attention has been given to every small detail. This house is surrounded by nature and its warmth. The entrance area is designed to make it feel like home even to others. It has this welcoming vibe that attracts everyone. The living room has classic elements like wood and marble used in a contemporary setting. A subtle mood is created by a combination of direct and indirect lighting, which in turn accentuates the modern décor. Design details like the wooden Jaali work in the ceiling and mandir door give a traditional twist to the living room. Just off the living room, there is a huge balcony with a breath-taking view. This view is complemented with the brick textured walls and yellow lights. Many potted natural plants are placed around here to add the perfect touch to the interior.

The Modular kitchen is a visual delight with a sleek finish and interesting tiles. The highlight of this room is the cool tones of blue, which are a fresh colour choice for a kitchen. Their daughter's bedroom has an interesting colour gradation work done on the Wardrobe. This ombre effect on the wardrobe gives the entire room an aesthetic bohemian look. The Hollywood style dresser with bright flashing lights brightens up the room and gives out the diva vibes. Done up in neutral and wood tones the master bedroom with quirky hanging lights creates a warm and cosy haven for the couple. The lighter shades on the wall allow the natural light to flow in and reflect the positivity of the clients. The mother’s bedroom is designed beautifully and is very spacious. It is a space where she can relax and spend some time with herself. It is also thoughtfully low on maintenance, making it ideal for a senior citizen.

Their Guest bedroom is the main highlight of the entire apartment. It is more of an amalgamation of Study Room and Music Room. We have especially conceptualized an entire "musical notes" based wall mural that inspires the whole aura of the room. The colours in the room are very vibrant and lively while also taking care of the functionality. The wall mural in the room was so loved by the client, that they asked the designer to sign on the mural wall, making her a permanent part of their living space.
